31 Week Update

How far along: 31 weeks, 4 days...59 days to go
Total weight gain/loss:  I haven't really been keeping up with my weight tracking.  At my last OB appointment I was 9 lbs total.
How big is Baby: Baby is about the size of a pineapple.
He's about 15.2 to 16.7 inches long and weighs about 2.5 to 3.8 pounds this month.
Maternity Clothes: Yes...That's all I can wear.  Just bough a maternity swim suit since that is how I plan to spend most of my weekends and maybe nights.
Sleep: Sleep is starting to get rough.  Even though I go to bed very tired, I have difficulty going to sleep.  I am starting to get uncomfortable which is making me toss and turn.  Either because I'm uncomfortable or my body feels it's time to get up.  Some times it's rough going back to sleep.  And my temperature is slowly rising so that is making me uncomfortable as well.
Movement: Yes and it is amazing.  She is getting very active and the movement is more noticeable now that she is getting bigger.
Food cravings:  cereal....I don't know what it is but that is all I want to eat.  I have been good in restraining for dinner, but that has been my breakfast and lunch meals.  Also freezy pops!!!  I haven't had those since I was a kid.  I eat about 2 a night.
Food aversions: none really.
Gender: It's a girl.
Symptoms:  Getting more fatigued through out the week (especially when I'm a bit more active around the house cleaning and such), swollen ankles, leg cramps, back aches.  I've been getting more clumsy and forgetful as the weeks progress.  Since it is getting very hot here, and very quickly, my body is starting to swell if I'm on my feet too long....or outside too long.
Best moment this week:  Still going to say my nesting.  My house is becoming more cleaner and organized....J is thrilled about this "symptom"
What I am looking forward to:  Setting up our Little One's crib and nursery.

Excuse the look on my face.  Wasn't feeling photogenic.

Baby Shower/30 Week Update

Saturday was my baby shower and it was exactly how I pictured it.  My sister hosted it and did a great job with everything.  I am so thankful that she put it all together.  It was small, intimate, and relaxing.  There were pretty many people invited, but the turn out was on the light side.  Which I am fine with....I hate being the center of attention.  My niece took most of that away anyways.  Anyways, my daughter made out really well this weekend.  She got a lot of onsies, rompers, hats, mittens, bibs, blankets, hooded towels, and bath supplies.  She also got an exersaucer, swing, high chair, tub, toys, and her bedding set with mobile.  I got a boppy pillow with 2 really cute covers and the baby bullet.  I'm sure there is a lot more that I'm forgetting.  We are so grateful for everything that was given to us.  I'll have to post the photos when my aunt sends them to me.  I was going to wait to wash some of her things, but I really couldn't resist.  I started to wash somethings that I know I will be using right away and will be taking with me to the hospital.  I tried to restrain myself, but I really couldn't wait until the end of June/beginning of July.

Daddy also bought her a sleep buddy this weekend.  It's this glow worm that lights up and plays lullabyes.  It was soo cute.  He is really looking forward to her arrival.  While we are out shopping, he's finding toys, clothes, and other things he wants to get her.

How far along: 30 weeks, 4 days...66 days to go
Total weight gain/loss:  Total I am up 10 lbs.  I seem to be gaining .5 to a 1 lb/week now
How big is Baby: Baby is about the size of a cucumber.
Your 15.2- to 16.7-inch, 2.5- to 3.8-pound baby continues to grow
Maternity Clothes: Yes...It's been getting much warmer here in NEPA, and very quickly might I add.  I've been rocking some tanks and shorts more frequently.
Movement: Yes and it is amazing.  She is getting very active and the movement is more noticeable now that she is getting bigger.  I even felt her stretch out over the weekend and she did have the hiccups once already.
Food cravings:  cereal....I don't know what it is but that is all I want to eat.  I have been good in restraining for dinner, but that has been my breakfast and lunch meals.

3 Hour GTT

This morning I got up at the crack of dawn to get my 3 hour glucose tolerance test done.  All I have to say is that I hope I never have to go through that again.  Aside from drinking that marvelous drink, having your blood taken every hour takes a toll on your body....especially when you are fasting.  I think my roughest part was the first hour where I got really lightheaded from the drink.  But that quickly passed.  The next couple of hours were ok and the best part was that I actually had entertainment in this lab compared to my other one.  I got to spend my time in another waiting room with a tv.  So, it wasn't all that bad.  I did bring some snacks for afterwards because I planned on going to Target to pick up a few things.  I needed a dress for my baby shower and an egg slicer.  While I was going through Target, I almost passed out.  I broke out in this horrible sweat and got really dizzy.  So I really don't think my snacks worked too well.  After my Target trip, I stopped at Panera Bread to pick up lunch.  From that point on, I started to get really punchy.  I was just getting irritated by the smallest things.  Especially when I realized that Panera forgot my chips!!!  I was going to eat them on my trip home.  But now I'm home, I feel a bit better...still have a bit of a headache, but I ate and am much more pleasant.

Well Hello There/28 Week Update

Well hello there 3rd Trimester!!  I had fun 2nd Trimester, but I'm excited to meet what is growing inside of me.

How far along: 28 weeks...84 days to go
Total weight gain/loss:  Total I am up 10 lbs.  I seem to be gaining 1 lb/week now
How big is Baby: Baby is about the size of a eggplant.
Putting on layers of fat, your baby now weighs in around 1.5 to 2.5 pounds and measures about 13.6 to 14.8 inches.
Maternity Clothes: Yes...I haven't worn my jeans in awhile.  Once I get out of my scrubs I go to my sweatpants.  Which has been my weekend theme as well since I haven't really had anything to do or any place to go.  I got to wear a couple of my new shirts.  And I must say that I feel a bit more normal going into work now.  I now have a variety of shirts instead of a couple.
Sleep: Sleep is alright...some nights.  I'm starting to have about 2 bathroom breaks I would say every other night.  There are also a few nights out of the week where I wake up in the middle of the night.  Either because I'm uncomfortable or my body feels it's time to get up.  Some times it's rough going back to sleep.
Movement: Yes and it is amazing.  The last couple of days I've been noticing my stomach move with her kicks.  It's very alien like and I love it, especially when I drink I large glass of OJ.  She gets very active after that.  She still has some quiet days, but makes up for it on the active days.
Food cravings:  cereal (fruity pebbles, Kashi Island Vanilla), bananas, milk, oreos
I think I'm starting to nest.
Best moment this week:  Still going to say my nesting.  My house is becoming more cleaner and organized.
What I am looking forward to:  Setting up our Little One's crib and nursery.  My baby shower that is set for May 19.

I think I look bigger than I actually am....
